Riding with Power not Force

Learning to Live and Ride with Power Not Force

Please join us for this enriching opportunity that will improve your riding, deepen your relationship with your horse, and change how you approach your life.  The workshop is all about how the mind, body, spirit connection shows up in your riding and in your life. It combines principles of classical dressage with cutting edge ideas in neurobiology and psychology. This sounds serious, but it’s really fun!

The facilitator utilizes her experience as a trauma therapist, performance expansion coach, and top competitive dressage rider and trainer to bring you a meaningful understanding of the horse-human bond. You will learn about how each part of the rider’s body relates to a specific part of the horse’s body. You will also be introduced to the PYRAMID OF TRAINING FOR THE RIDER, which outlines the sequential development of skills a rider must have to advance a horse through the PYRAMID OF TRAINING. This includes clear instruction on how to use your seat, position, mind and heart in order to maximize harmony and enhance performance. Perhaps most importantly, participants will explore RIDING AS METAPHOR; how the Pyramid of Training relates to achieving maximum harmony in life.

Please note that although the workshop incorporates a lot of ideas from classical dressage, these ideas apply to all disciplines and riders of all levels.
